I loved Jake!!!

Oh my word – when the blurb say that Jake is “bad to the bone” they were not kidding – but dear lord is he delicious with it, his bad is somewhere I want to be!!

This short and spicy little novel has all the hallmarks of what could potentially be a firm favourite because for all his badass ways Jake Wolfe is a man I really don’t want to let slip through my fingers – just yet.

Zara is to all intents and purposes perfect and the model of the straight A student but what you don’t get initially is that this girl has a lot more going on that you would think at first glance and while Jake is quite happy to do whatever he feels like whenever he feels like it. Zara does whatever it takes!

So when Jake musters up at her home while her old folks are away – she is about to learn the difference between being in school and getting schooled – and Jake Wolfe has just morphed into professor badass!

So can this bad boy, teach the little lady in question to cut loose or will Zara break his mould and him in the process?

One weekend and everything they know shifts, everything they think they want changes. They both learn lessons that they were not expecting and that always has to be a good thing.

The story will get it claws into you pretty early on and to be honest it won’t let you shake it loose, and that is a good thing because I am looking forward to more from this series and I have to say I can’t wait to hear a bit more about Alexander!

Enlightening

This a quick read about a significant event in Jake Wolfe's past. Jake Wolfe is damaged, his past continually haunts him. "Even now, the echoing memories kill me a little more, every second of the day. Small, stabbing blades of pain that never leave me. This is the reason I avoid people and mostly keep to myself." He doesn't avoid the occasional tryst with willing females. His encounters leave him feeling emptier. He's wants to "-just once- to feel some other emotion besides this twisted cocktail of lust and rage.".

Jake's brother, Alexander, needs to move into the city to be closer to work. He doesn't want Jake to switch schools, he is able to find Jake a temporary home with Professor Ashe. There is only one other person living in the house, Zara. Zara is a college student who takes part in extra curricular activities with her professors to increase her grades. Her parents are both successful professors and she uses her resources to achieve success in college.

Jake and Zara find a connection, their brief relationship enlightens them of their capabilities. I enjoyed a view into Jake's past. He's damaged and scared. He wants to open up, let a light shine in and Zara gives him a light. This story is how one night can change your perspective and open up possibilities.

A good short read

Taming Jake Wolfe is a short novella and is a prequel to Jake (Billionaire book 3). In this prequel Jake is a troubled 18 year old bad boy who seems to be irresistable to all the girls at his high school. This book isn't your typical romance, there is no HEA for Jake and Zara, but their brief relationship helps them both become better, happier people. It is a good, short read that sets the stage brilliantly for the next book in the Billionaire series. This is the first book I've read by Juliette Jones, and I really enjoyed her writing style and characters.

Jake is full of anger and lust, he's constantly horny but can't bear to be touched. He can't do normal relationships but has a constant string of rough, dirty encounters with girls who crave the handsome bad boy. Then he meets Zara, a beautiful college student who ensures she maintains her good grades by doing pretty much everything except sleepy with her professors. She is attracted to Jake, knows he's damaged, knows he's dangerous but can't resist his bad boy charms.

This book is seriously hot, Jake is such a sexy character - I do love a bad boy! Jake is an intriguing character and I can't wait to meet him as an adult in the next book. This is an enjoyable, sexy read that gets four out of five stars.

Some models are on horseback, half clothed, or hanging out in the barn wearing very little clothes. Others are photographs taken in an antique furniture shop where these young men contemplating themselves in antique mirrors resonate with the myth of Narcissus. Others are taken in a high rise apartment and the views of the boxy cityscape contrast with the flowing curves of the male body. Others take place in hotel rooms or on the beach. There are a large number of models in various states of undress.

There is something about young, almost perfect, beautiful men and that is they tend to look alike except for the fine details such as color of hair or the swirl of their navel. The differences in many of the men boil down to where they place their tattoos. The poses are sometimes athletic but more often they are erotic, enticing poses, similar to those seen in homoerotic nude men magazines. Overall the product is flawless, perfect photography of perfect men.

'Cataloguing the world's sexiest exhibitionists'

Rick Day is a fashion photographer well known for his many contributions to the magazines Elle, Details, Teen Vogue, and GQ and his particular ability to capture the essence of the macho stance has won his=m contracts with companies such as Rufskin and GAP. This is his second photographic monograph of men in the raw (his first was the very successful PLAYERS from last year, another Bruno Gm�nder Verlag winner) and this time Day takes his models to the American Southwest where they both compete with the natural beauty of the land and simultaneously enhance it.

Open this book PIONEERS and there are spectacular scenes of riding and fishing in the High Sierras. As the viewer progresses through this color-saturated collection of images there are men in the desert, the ocean, and even inside rooms, simply celebrating themselves. The models are all viscerally virile, well posed in sensitively lighted places, and put at such ease that both clothed and completely nude they embody the every essence of masculinity. The pleasures of the book are many, not the least of which is an appreciation of the wilds of nature Rick Day (and friends!) explores. This is a very large volume, well designed and on the finest paper. Another fine addition to the library celebrating the male from the very intuitive publishers at Bruno Gm�nder Verlag. Wow. Another excellent photo book from Rick Day

Wow - what a book! If you love hot men, excellent photography and a masculine theme - you will LOVE this book. "Players" is my all-time favorite book by Rick Day, but this is a close second. The fact that it has a large number of photos of model Joseph Sayers, makes it a huge win in my book. Joseph is a GOD!
