Dan Damon, the collection’s editor, helped with many of the English translations. He himself is an internationally known writer of hymns, a jazz pianist, and a United Methodist pastor currently serving on the faculty of Pacific School of Religion in Berkeley, California.

It's not until Grizzle Grump hikes to a cave at the top of a mountain that he is able sleep soundly. His loud snoring, however, won't allow any other creature to sleep! Adorable and hilarious Photoshop and colored pencil illustrations match the text perfectly. About the Author

Aaron Blecha is an artist who creates funny characters and illustrates humorous books, including two series, George Brown, Class Clown and Shark School. Aaron was raised by giant squid in Green Bay, Wisconsin. He now lives with his family by the south English seaside. This is the first book he's written and illustrated.

Fun!

Goodnight, Grizzle Grump! is a fun read aloud and an excellent choice for story time. While the illustrations are cute, cartoony, and definitely engaging, it's the text that brings the fun with this one. Blecha tells the story of this Grizzly who just wants to go to sleep with a seasoned storyteller's flair,from his description of bear's routine that he follows each time he tries to sleep, to his frustration with all the noise. Kids will delight in following along as bear repeatedly teeters, totters, wiggles, wobbles, flips and flops before finally snoring away. The payoff at the end comes when Grizzle Grump's snores start to irritate all the other animals. I will admit that I had a hard time getting this ending to present correctly to an audience thanks to one small illustration that the kids just weren't catching. After a bit of practice though, the ending came through with all of its humor, and laughs were shared all around.

Goodnight, Grizzle Grump! is an excellent choice for any bear themed story time thanks to its vibrant, animated illustrations and some very fun writing. Don't miss this story time must have!

The kids at school love this book! We can't keep it on the shelf. The illustrations are so bold and colorful! We are hoping there will be other Grizzle Grump books to follow.
